Alan Shearer praise for Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus
The 26-year-old has had injury problems this season, but he is now fully fit and is playing again.
And Newcastle United legend and BBC Sport pundit Alan Shearer has been impressed.
Shearer said The Rest is Football podcast about Jesus: “He is back, he is looking sharp, he is looking fresh, and I think Arsenal have got a really, really good squad.”
Jesus has scored one goal in 39 minutes in the Premier League and has scored one goal in one UEFA Champions League match for Arsenal so far this season.
The Arsenal no. 9 scored 11 goals and gave six assists in 24 Premier League starts last season.
Gabriel Jesus a big player for Arsenal
In our view, Gabriel Jesus will play a big role for Arsenal in their quest to win the Premier League titke and make an impact in the UEFA Champions League this season.
Arsenal have done well without Jesus playing much this season.
And, now that the striker is back playing regularly and back in form, the North London club will hope to take their game to another level.
Jesus may not score goals week after week as Erling Haaland does for Manchester City, but he is a very good striker whose clever movement and ability to press from the front are crucial to the way that Arsenal play their football under manager Mikel Arteta.
