Jose Enrique has claimed on his Instagram story that West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice will join German champions Bayern Munich this summer and not Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.
These next few weeks are huge regarding the future of Declan Rice because the 24-year-old is expected to leave the London Stadium.
The Hammers were busy winning the Europa Conference League, so their club captain had other matters to deal with, but now the focus can all be reserved towards his future.
Whilst Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are very keen on adding the England international to their ranks, they have competition from elsewhere.
Thomas Tuchel, whilst at Chelsea, would have seen first-hand what Rice is capable of and now it has been suggested that he wants the Englishman to secure a move to Munich.
Whilst some feel Rice will remain in the Premier League, former Liverpool left-back Enrique thinks otherwise: “He is going Bayern Munich, I believe,” wrote Enrique via his Instagram story.

It would be gut-wrenching for Arsenal if they didn’t sign Rice
This is the big one for Arsenal and one they simply have to get over the line, or else, a negative feel will filter through their summer transfer window.
Liverpool have put down their marker by getting a deal for Alexis Mac Allister over the line and now it’s Arsenal’s turn to make their statement of intent with this ‘priority’ signing.
Whatever happens with Rice’s future, one thing is for sure, he will be heading to a team in the Champions League and he is ready for that step up.
