Charles Watts is now expecting significant movement in Arsenal securing a transfer deal for West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice.
The Arsenal transfer expert stated that this is a ‘big, big week’ for Mikel Arteta’s side and he would be ‘very surprised’ if things haven’t moved on ‘pretty dramatically’ by Sunday, as he told his own YouTube channel.
Declan Rice had other matters on his mind during this past week, including helping West Ham United win the Europa Conference League in Prague.
If it so happens to be the 24-year-old’s last game in Claret & Blue, then what a way to bow out for the hard-hitting midfielder, who is also wanted by German giants Bayern Munich.
But it’s those across London who crave his signature the most, with claims that they also want Brighton and Hove Albion star Moises Caicedo on top of Rice.
Well, before they can think about that, the Gunners need to, at the very least, get one deal over the line and Watts had some exciting developments which could take place in the next few days.
“This is going to be a big, big week for Arsenal,” said Watts. “I would be very surprised, if I am sitting here next Sunday, and things with Declan Rice have not moved on pretty dramatically.
“This is a deal Arsenal have been working on for a long time. They want to get it done. And they want to get it done relatively quickly, if they can.
“I would say that I am pretty positive we will see things progressing, one way or the other, in the space of the next days or so, if not before that.
“It’s a really big week for Arsenal. This is the one they want. If you can get Declan Rice done quickly, and avoid getting dragged into a saga that drags on throughout the summer, then it would just be so beneficial for everyone. Having Declan Rice on board, before pre-season begins, would just be huge, for him, for everyone and for the club”

Is Rice Arsenal transfer bound?
Liverpool have set the tone early by getting who they want – the £35 million deal to sign World Cup-winning star Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton and Hove Albion.
Now it’s Arsenal’s turn to set their own tone by getting this Rice deal over the line as soon as possible.
If it happens, then it sends positive vibes around the club and allows other deals, perhaps for players like Moises Caicedo, to get completed in a more smooth manner.
