Noa Lang and Declan Rice have reacted on Instagram to Jurrien Timber’s injury update to Arsenal fans as he takes the ‘first steps’ of his recovery.
The Arsenal defender posted a video on Instagram of himself walking on crutches whilst going over some mini hurdles, as well as doing other training exercises.
Given the performances Jurrien Timber was putting in during pre-season, as well as his display as Arsenal beat Manchester City in the Community Shield, it was a major blow when he did his ACL on the opening day of the new Premier League season.
Those inverted full-backs are very crucial to how Mikel Arteta plays.
Oleksandr Zinchenko is already a master of it on the left side and the hope was that Jurrien Timber would provide that magic from the right.
But that now has to be put on hold, as the Dutch star sent the following message and video to fans via his socials, with Declan Rice and Noa Lang, whose PSV side lost 4-0 to Arsenal in the Champions League last night, reacting in the comments section.
Jurrien Timber’s injury update
Oleksandr Zinchenko wrote ‘together bro’, whilst Declan Rice called him a ‘monster, Nathan Ake posted a heart and praying hands emoji and Noa Lang added ‘Let’s’ go’.
When Timber returns for Arsenal he will feel like a new signing
If it so happens that Timber doesn’t play again this season, then Arsenal fans will be hoping that, when he is back on the training pitch, he will be surrounded by Premier League title winners.
He will feel like a new signing when Arsenal get their summer capture back to his full fitness.
But, until then, this current group of players have enough quality to win the Premier League title this season, even though Manchester City have made a 100% start.
