Welcome to The Arsenal Therapy Podcast, a dedicated show about the club we love, Arsenal Football Club.
Arsenal secured a crucial 3-1 victory against Manchester United in a game that saw them dominate the early stages. Martinelli’s early chance set the tone for Arsenal’s attacking intent, with Havertz also coming close to finding the net. United, meanwhile, struggled to find their rhythm and resorted to long balls due to Arsenal’s relentless pressure. Rashford opened the scoring for United, but Arsenal responded brilliantly, with Ødegaard equalizing immediately after the restart.
The second half began positively for Arsenal, with Havertz showing signs of improvement. However, United had their moments, forcing Ramsdale into a save. A contentious penalty decision denied Havertz an opportunity from the spot. The game became more evenly balanced, with both teams looking dangerous on the counter.
As the clock ticked down, Arsenal continued to push for a breakthrough, but their finishing let them down. Saka missed a golden opportunity, and Arsenal struggled to convert set-pieces. United nearly snatched a late goal, but it was ruled offside.
In the dying moments, Arsenal finally found the winner. A corner delivered by Saka found Declan Rice, who drove the ball into the net. Arsenal sealed the victory with a late goal from Jesus, securing all three points in a game where they dominated but initially struggled to find the back of the net.
